Program Leader Engineer - Fuel Cells
HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the organization and the Product Development team. As a key Fuel Cell Systems team member, the Program Leader has ownership of all platform projects with high visibility across all functional groups and levels throughout the company. This role is key in assuring that HYG projects are implemented on time, within budget, and honoring the program scope and quality. In this role, you are accountable for the success of the project, without having direct authority over project team members. The Program Leader must exhibit strong leadership skills and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional project team members. Join our team as we take forklift design to the next level.
Lead new Product Development projects to meet the quality, reliability, performance, and cost expectations of the customer for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power Systems
Establish project charter and achieve buy-in from key Stakeholders
Lead project Core team through Review Gate process including management signoffs
Manage project schedule, resources, capital and other investments
Collaborate and provide support to the Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing, and Aftermarket groups engaged in the project.
Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks (technical, Commercial, and supplier) to ensure commitments are delivered successfully.
The Successful Program Leader Will Meet the Following Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or equivalent, MBA preferred
Minimum 3 years of project management experience, PMI PMP preferred
Experience planning and managing multiple parallel development projects in a multi-disciplined matrix team environment
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Teamwork and Flexibility: Function well leading a team environment by working well with other employees and other departments.
Decision Making: Exhibit good judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; demonstrate ability to take decisive actions to develop product.
Creative "outside the box" problem solving
Proficient in Microsoft Project scheduling software or equivalent
Design background a plus
Occasional travel may be required (less than 10% total time)
