In the role of Project Manager, reporting to the Program Manager or Director, you will be responsible for executing the day-to-day tactical project management duties for Cybersecurity (CS), Systems Engineering and IT Support Services to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Military Health System (MHS) community of interest. The successful candidate will directly support project execution of CS and Information Assurance (IA) services at MHS locations throughout the Continental US (CONUS) and Outside the Continental US (OCONUS) areas. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
• Perform as a project lead on advanced specialized projects or in resolution of technical problems that would critically impact performance, schedule, or cost.
• Serve as primary customer contact for specific efforts to assure responsiveness to customer needs and effective professional conduct.
• Monitor the project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
• Facilitate coordination between resource managers/supervisors/customers and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
• May have supervisory responsibilities including hiring, firing, and performance management.
• Mentor and coach assigned personnel to enhance performance and encourage professional development.
• Provide functional and technical guidance to engineering staff and management.
• Actively identify additional/expanded tasking with existing customers and define technical requirements for draft statements of work. FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant technical field
• Ten years of engineering/analytical experience related to IT systems or Cybersecurity policy
• Five years demonstrated ability to supervise, plan and lead technical/engineering teams in multiple, complex task assignments involving diverse engineering disciplines
• Written and verbal communication proficiency commensurate with a technical management role
• Designee shall have demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas:
• Service catalog management and service level agreement
• System Test and Evaluation, planning execution and management
• Hardware and software ECP Evaluation
• IA concepts and requirements development
• System and application requirements analysis, design, integration, development,
• Application and testing
• ILS planning and management Technical development product milestone scheduling DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong IT technical background/certifications (MCP, CCNA, CCDA, RHCSA, Network+, etc.)
• Strong IT security background/certifications (Security+, SSCP, GSEC, CSSP, CISSP, CAP, GSLC, etc.)
