The Software Engineer I will be responsible for working in a team environment to design, prototype, develop, integrate, and test software to control, monitor and configure complex electronic warfare and radar systems/simulators. The work will include development of software modules that control and monitor commercial off the shelf (COTS) devices (such as power supplies, RF amplifiers, power meters), test equipment and instrumentation (such as vector signal generators and spectrum analyzers) and custom developed hardware. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Producing software requirements documentation
• Developing a software architecture
• Specifying development environments
• Developing software interfaces
• Developing software
• Documenting software
• Developing software test procedures
• Testing software
• Collecting acceptance test data
• Supporting installation and testing of equipment in the field

[*MON *CB] FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Familiarity with ADC, DAC, and GPIO devices is necessary.
• Must have basic TCP/IP knowledge (sockets, TCP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, and PXE booting).
• Must be comfortable working with Virtual Machines (e.g. VMWare).
• Candidate should have experience in design and test of user interfaces for the configuration and control of COTS equipment.
• BSCS or BSCE (not looking for a EE). Must have degree in software or computer science.
• Periodic travel will be required to support integration, delivery and field testing of developed systems. This support may occur at various military test and training ranges throughout the United States.
• Travel may be required for 1-3 weeks at a time.
• The candidate must currently hold or be immediately eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance with potential growth to Top Secret. DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Specific experience with C, and C++ in both Windows and Linux based development environments is desired.
• Familiarity with embedded hardware/software development, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), and/or device driver development is a plus.
• Any signal processing experience is a plus.
• Experience with the control of standard test equipment (such as RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies) through standard interfaces is a plus.
