Job Summary
Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmaceutical care by preparing
medications in a complete and timely manner and in accordance with policies and
regulations.Job Description
Essential Functions:
● Assists pharmacists in
the preparation and distribution of medications.
● Labels and packages medications
appropriately. Prepares medications in a timely manner to expedite delivery to the patient.
● Operates automated technology (Pyxis, carousel, compounders, etc.) in accordance
to department standards and expectations.
● Performs aseptic compounding of
parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms with the appropriate aseptic technique.
● Completes billing within the appropriate time frame assuring accurate charges
with correct date of service.
● Participates in the training of new pharmacy
employees.
Additional Requirements
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician - South Dakota Board of Pharmacy, Graduate - Pharmacy, Healthcare Experience, High School Diploma/GED Equivalent - General Studies and, Pharmaceutical Experience, Retail ExperienceCome join us in our pursuit to become the best healthcare system in America!
