Job Description:
Reports to: Cell Biology Supervisor/Manager
Experience/Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple timelines and priorities
  • Solid organization and analytical skills and ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to stand for 8 hour shift
Physical Effort: Listed below are the physical demands of the job according to percentage of time performing the tasks including any applicable weight movements.
Summary of Position:
Individuals serving in this position will be responsible for timely and accurate execution of appropriate tasks in support of the manufacturing process of cell culture IFA diagnostic products. 
Job Duties/Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execution of quality production procedures as assigned by the departmental supervisor to include (but not limited to):
  1.  Preparation of microscope slides: washing, drying, etc
  2. Washing of production glassware manually or in dishwasher
  3. Pouching, sealing, and labeling of slide-based products
  4. Operate and maintain production equipment and inform supervisor of any calibration issues that arise
  5. Misc. support operations (ie: cutting of foil pouches for tissue raw material, labeling, box assembly, etc.)
  1. Adherence to quality systems with special regard to FDA, ISO 9000 /13485 and GMP / OSHA compliance
  2. Demonstration of sound problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  3. Proper execution of SOPs and QAPs for manufacturing procedures assigned by supervisor
  4. Production / work order entry
  5. Maintenance of a clean work area
  6. Inventory control of raw materials (slides, reagents, etc.), PO submission
  7. Cleaning and maintenance of equipment; maintenance of equipment logs
  8. Focus on continual process improvement
  9. Cross train and provide backup to other departments as required
  10. Other duties as assigned
