Senior Mission Innovation Data Scientist

  • BS in Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance (SCI active within last 2 years; current SSBI (adjudicated within last 5 years)
  • 16+ years of data engineering, data architecture, systems engineering, systems integration, or systems development experience, with 10+ years recent agency specific experience.
  • Relevant Architect (SA), SE&I (INCOSE), IT (ITIL), Security (CISSP), Agile (CSM), PMI (PMP) certs
  • SAFe agile experience creating User Stories, SCRUMs, Sprint/Release Plans, Retrospectives
  • 10-12 years total experience working with IC/DoD/Military/National Security systems with 5 years of experience in data science or analytic role
  • Demonstrated experience with product workflows, cloud/virtual content architectures, data standards, & industry best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to test descriptive, predictive, and/or prescriptive analytics in context of given integrated workflows and content types (e.g. structured and unstructuredAbility to anticipate trends, activities, events, or problems by analyzing information to evaluate importance and significance and assess their utility
  • Experience in system activity and data modeling, information flow/transaction process analysis, internal control & risk analysis, business methods & tradecraft, performance measurement techniques

  • MS in Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multi-contractor / government / commercial organizations
  • Strong customer service and teaming skills; Ability to collaborate in cross-functional team

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and apply methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems.
  • Conduct data mining and retrieval, and apply statistical and mathematical analyses to identify trends, solve analytical problems, optimize performance, and gather intelligence.
  • Visualize information using a range of tools (e,g, GIS, R), develop scripts and algorithms, create explanatory and predictive models, and conduct comparative analyses to address complex problems.
  • Explore leading technology and methods to improve predictive modeling capabilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to develop and refine collections and analytic methods to resolve priority intelligence changes
  • Provide innovative solutions for highly complex data challenges; work with internal and external partners to identify solutions.
  • Develop and apply quantitative and qualitative analytic methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large datasets for specified purposes.
  • Develop and refine collection and analytic methods and collaborates with analysts to answer key questions
  • Identify trends, solves analytical problems, optimizes performance, and develop results through appropriate data analysis techniques (e.g., data mining and retrieval)
  • Visualize information, conducts comparative analysis, develops scripts, algorithms, or models, and develops report on results of data
  • Independently develop the identification of new sources for advanced quantitative queries
  • Determine approaches and strategies to market statistical and methodological services to new or potential partners or customers.
  • Conceive complex statistical, mathematical, and data mining analysis independently or in partnership with other Data Scientist or Analyst colleagues.
