This individual will participate in the creation of innovative solutions for public and private sector clients in the life sciences research, life sciences contract services, and environment and energy industries. The Assistant Scientist will need to be motivated in an environment where they are working collaboratively with others who share an appetite for science, research, and human health. Assistant Scientist - Biotech - Immuno-assay - Virology - Cell Culture


  • Performing a broad range of biological tests and procedures using standard scientific techniques and methods; and recording, analyzing and reporting results under minimal supervision.
  • Work with the immuno-assay and virology teams to conduct research projects on the behalf of private and public research organizations.
  • The individual will be responsible for culturing and maintaining PBMCs (T cells, B cells, and NK cells)
  • Observes and executes activities consistent with study protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or Laboratory Methods, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) regulations, and safety and health practices.
  • Collect and analyze data for review by management, utilizing sophisticated spreadsheets and statistical analysis software
  • Responsible for doing both adherent and suspension cell culture.

Assistant Scientist - Biotech - Immuno-assay - Virology - Cell Culture


BS or MS in cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Tumor Biology, or related field + 2-5 years of the following gained from professional experience:

  • PBMC Cell Culture (T, B or NK cell lines)
  • Plaque Assay Experience
  • Experience with viruses
  • Cell based assay experience (ELISA)
  • Suspension and adherent cell culture
  • Experience with radiation (mostly tritium) is a plus
