We are seeking a Scientist I to join the Chemistry R&D group and participate in driving our next generation of sequencing technologies. While we are a chemistry group, the members of our group have diverse scientific backgrounds and work at the interface of chemistry, biology, and material science, and engage with the software and chip teams.
Tasks: Perform biology and chemistry related activities on the sequencing platforms (Proton and PGM). These activities may include production and characterization of samples, instrument support, surface chemistry, sequencing, and data analysis. Interact within Chemistry R&D, Product and Process Development groups, Semiconductor Device Fabrication R&D, and others. Develop new analytical tools and assays as needed to analyze data, derive conclusions, document findings and prepare reports for sharing within and between R&D groups. Maintain a detailed and organized lab notebook.
Prior experience working in an R&D lab.
