PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP MANAGER Charlotte, NC
Kelly Scientific resources is looking for a Regulatory Manager for a chemical company in the Charlotte, NC area. This is a direct hire position on the 1st shift. Monday-Friday.
Ideal candidate will have experience in medical device and/or food contact packaging or related chemistry/polymer industry.
This role will provide product stewardship support to one or more business units in North America and serves as the primary key PS contact for at least one BU. This support can include answering customer requests, maintaining product files and databases, assisting in new product introductions and registrations, tariff classifications, transportation classifications, and other duties as assigned or needed.
Supports the business units by maintaining accurate product files, including product compositions, process information and test data.
Responds to customer requests for product stewardship information.
Supports the needs of the business units while maintaining full regulatory compliance on products. Serves as Key& Contact for one or more BU’s and as such, interfaces directly with BU management to understand business priorities and to communicate PS issues.
Utilizes the systems and processes that are designed to maintain regulatory compliance throughout the business process (e.g. approving workflow requests, releasing sentinel notifications, etc.).
Leads or supports data acquisition projects for various regulatory reporting requirements.
Plans, organizes, prepares and submits new chemical inventory registrations for North America.
Maintains current knowledge and proficiency in existing, modified and new chemical risk management regulations and product stewardship emerging issues
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science degree, with solid knowledge of chemical properties and nomenclature required.
Master’s degree in chemistry preferred.
Must have a minimum of ten years’ experience in chemical product stewardship-related work or a combination of similar experience and training.
Must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of TSCA, OSHA, HAZCOM, SARA, DOT, CERCLA, FIFRA, and FDA regulations.
Must be computer-proficient.
SAP/AS400 experience preferred.
Knowledge of WHMIS preferred.
