  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field. Master's degree is preferred
  • Developed and strong negotiation, leadership, and supplier problem solving skills
  • Track record of developing and executing value adding cost savings projects
  • Understanding of supply markets, ability to resource and identify key sources and identify opportunity areas to extract savings
  • Ability to make quick decisions with limited data in a complex organization
  • Able to work collaboratively in a matrix organization with effective project management skills
  • Ability to develop, lead, communicate, and influence the organization to make sourcing and procedural improvements in defined areas
  • Responsive to the needs of the business, driving projects to closure, and communicating timely and effective status updates
  • Ability to prioritize projects and tasks to optimize results in a fast-paced environment
  • Using a risk based approach to develop and execute sourcing strategies and negotiate contract language
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet(Excel) and presentation(PowerPoint) software applications and ability to present data in a group setting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • ERP experience, SAP a plus
  • Institute of Supply Management certification or formal Procurement training a plus
  • 2 years of experience in a role focusing on Procurement 
  • Track record of quick and effective sourcing solutions in a complex organization

Job Description:
  • Actively manage the strategic sourcing activities for Indirect spend sub categories of Capital, plant operations services, other services, utilities/energy, building leases, and other areas as assigned
  • With the goal of achieving significant cost reductions while maintaining or improving products and services quality and vendor service levels to meet internal business partner expectations
  • Identify, evaluate and select suppliers, control sourcing activities for assigned areas of responsibility, negotiate and close framework agreements, review and improve execution of contracts and management of relationships for vendors in assigned responsibility areas
  • Negotiate, execute, and manage contracts in relevant spend areas
  • Drive process implementation to support company policies and procedures throughout ICL via collaboration with the relevant ICL functions, sites, and operations
  • The successful candidate will work closely with internal business partners must demonstrate both attention to detail and strong task focus to close open items
  • Responsible for utilizing strategic sourcing best practices to achieve best value from the supply chain
  • Responsible for developing and recommending strategies supported by industry/market conditions
  • Conducting operational and organizational reviews of existing supplier relationships to identify value enhancing opportunities, measure and mitigate supply risks, and share best sourcing practices across ICL businesses
  • Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of defined spend areas and suppliers in the spend areas including understanding of supply risks, source options by category, company spend, markets and trends impacting the business
  • Perform best in class negotiation processes and use a wide variety Procurement tools to optimize value and track and communicate savings and value creation
  • Anticipate, prevent, and address operational issues with internal business partners and suppliers
  • Establish and manage regional relationships with suppliers, maintain communication and coordination with suppliers, Internal Business Partners, Hub, Plant and Global Procurement resources to support Global, Regional and Local initiatives to optimize savings for the Americas Region
