Position Profile:

This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and monitoring the testing, analyzing and disposition of materials, and finished product in all stages of production. Compile data and prepare reports of tests. Recommend and implement modifications to methods and SOPs. Provide support and guidance on technical issues in line with department goals and objectives. Provide quality training, track and trend information, as well as be able to analyze, organize, and prioritize issues effectively and efficiently. This position requires effective communication (written and verbal) with multiple levels of personnel both internal and external.

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of cGMPs, cGLPs, and basic plant hygiene.

  • Knowledge of quality tools, techniques, and documents.

  • Document control and organization capabilities.

  • Knowledge of business analysis/computer tools:Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PP, Access), Lotus Notes, Ensur and Oracle.

  • Highly proficient in operating and maintaining HPLCs and GCs. Knowledge of other analytical and physical laboratory instrumentation.

  • Knowledgeable in planning, accurate record keeping, timely project completion without compromising accuracy and precision.

  • Strong ability to interpret test results, utilizing statistical analysis and preparation of reports.

  • Detail oriented to organize record keeping and data requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining multiple priorities at the same time; able to work with minimal supervision required.

  • Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals. Maintains a safe, neat and orderly work place.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, train, and assist personnel on Quality - Coach, Mentoring and Training.

  • Supervise the laboratory staff and Inspectors.

  • Prepare, perform, document, report, and follow-up on disposition of materials and finished goods.

  • Recommends laboratory compliance related polices/procedures. Ensure activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Assist in internal investigations related to process deviations and participate in the root cause analysis.

  • Propose process improvements to strengthen systems and prevent quality/regulatory related issues. Coordinate activities in support of both current and future Quality initiatives.

  • Develop, review, and implement applicable SOPs.

  • Perform daily QA/QC functions as required such as calibration activities, raw material/FG inspections and sampling, training, etc.

  • Analyze data to evaluate trends and provide continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Analytical/Process Thinking:Accumulate data, effectively analyze and provide/communicate measurable results.

  • Communicate effectively (verbal/written) with all levels of personnel both internal and external (i.e., suppliers, tech support, etc.) and influence positively partnerships and respect.

  • Support Quality Manager in whatever projects and programs necessary

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree (chemistry or related science) and a minimum of 2 years related analytical testing experience in a Quality environment.
