Job Description:
Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of employees. Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required. 
The Lab supervisor is responsible for supervision and oversight of the microbiology department. The incumbent will ensure that established procedures and processes are implemented and followed. The Lab Supervisor will serve as a laision for the department, researching and responding to concerns in a timely fashion. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining readiness for inspecitons, including internal audits, CAP inspections, and ISO 15189 surveillance. 
Requirements
License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/1-3 years of experience. Must meet all State and Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements. ASCP certification preferred.
