Skills:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Metrology Engineering

  • Project Management skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proven ability to effectively partner and work with variety of engineering functions

  • Demonstrated ability to work well within teams or independently

  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and calibration practices

  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and tools (JMP preferred)

  • Excellent working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Experience with dimensional metrology

  • Able to visually and dimensionally evaluate products in accordance with established customer standards

  • Possess ability to read and interpret basic quality documents, blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Have working knowledge of measurement gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and a CMM

  • Good people skills

  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with peers, partners or any team member

  • Able to communicate technically with CS, ME, and Electrical engineers

  • Able to work in a very fluid and dynamic environment

  • High initiative and self-motivated requiring minimal direction to meet business objectives

  • Able to work independently or as a team to meet department objectives

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Corvallis, Oregon (OR) that is seeking an experienced Metrology Engineer with experience building and owning test plans and test structures. This position is in support of a new and growing organization, that is fast paced and dynamic. You must be comfortable with fluid requirements and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and specify final part metrology routines (mechanical, compositional, dimensional) on 3D metal parts

  • Evaluate, recommend, and acquire metrology technology to assure tool capabilities meet technical requirements

  • Developing, implementing, and sustaining metrology documentation

  • Design necessary fixtures or tooling

  • Clearly communicate results to the rest of the 3D integration team
