  • Work with the Production staff - in constructive manner - to resolve and correct production techniques or practices which result in quality problems and/or decreased productivity.

  • Interact with the Research & Development staff, on behalf of the Manufacturing group, to ensure that (i) new formulations are within the capabilities of the Production staff, and (ii) problem formulations not correctable by improved production techniques are quickly resolved by the R & D staff.

  • Supervise activities which will ensure that all data generated in the manufacturing of finished products are accurate and are entered into the computer system in a timely fashion.

  • Review all base resin quality and yield analysis for accuracy and ensure that this information is accurate and is entered into the computer in a timely fashion.

  • Participate in the plant’s efforts to decrease the level of mixed resins in inventory in the following ways:

  • Ensure that lab equipment is properly maintained and, in cooperation with both the R & D group and the Maintenance staff, ensure that a calibration schedule is maintained on all plant scales.
