Minimum Bachelors Degree; prefer a degree in a science, or applied sciences field.


This position is of exempt status, full time, office based.  It does require periodic traveling.


Computer Skills                                                     


To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and the all of Microsoft Office.

Computer Skills  
To perform this job successfully, an individual will need proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Internet software such as Skype and business tools such a Basecamp and Filemaker Pro.


Language Skills

Proficient in English for all written and verbal communication with the ability to read and accurately interpret documents such as conflicts of interests, biographies, contracts, procedural manuals, etc. Ability to write required reports, documents, and correspondence. Possesses the ability to speak effectively and intelligently. Must be able to present self in a professional, articulate manner including proper phone and email etiquette. Bi-lingual Spanish speakers preferred.

Mathematical Skills                  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply situation-appropriate common sense and ensure that directives are completed

Job Description:

AXIS Medical Education, Inc. is a full-service continuing medical education company that designs and implements live, web-based/on-demand, and print-based educational activities for healthcare professionals. AXIS delivers convenient opportunities to engage learners based on their individual learning preferences through a full spectrum of educational offerings. AXIS is focused solely in certified medical education.  

Primary Function: Grants Submission and Managment
  • Manage and prioritize grant submissions workflow
  • Prepare grants for submission within the appropriate templates, and submit to appropriate commercial supporters
  • Maintain entries, run appropriate reports for internal stakeholders, and update as necessary
  • Attends weekly Grants Status Meetings and updates internal stakeholders on awards, declines and “parked” projects.
  • Prepares monthly awards report for Finance department
  • Follows-up with commercial supporter contacts to obtain status of grant submissions
  • Creates data capture templates and the associated data field mapping for CMS reporting
  • As necessary, prepare Change of Scope documentation
  • Ensures all project data entry is up to date and accurately tracked.

Primary Function: Grants Reconcilliation Submission
  • Complete and compile activity attendee metrics reconciliation submission template(s)
  • Complete activity financial reconciliation submission template(s)
  • Prepare and compile Activity Executive Summary upon conclusion of commercially funded activities
