  • 2 year Degree in electronics, computer science, or similar field of study required. 
  • Two to five years experience with PC components and electrical systems. 
  • Must possess a firm understanding of the basic structure and functionality of a PC. 
  • The ability to piece together a PC is a must. 
  • A strong computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word. 
  • The ability to type highly preferred.

Job Description:
Helpdesk Tier 2 support permanent job in South Chicagoland, IL.
Duties:
  • Provide the Technology Department with extensive hardware and software troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Provide component repair for all Applied Technology systems. 
  • These systems include rovers (customized industrial computers), crane control systems, monitors, sensors, and other similar products.
  • Document, record, and follow procedures to commission installations.
  • Assists with the installation, and setting up commissions of Applied Technology’s systems and products.
  • Performs calibrations on lasers and other machine control products used for precise measurements.
  • Assists other employees in daily operations.
  • Help manage system installations, and support of all Applied Technology products.
  • Working with and training field personnel in the area of GPS and GPS integration into machine controls.
  • Interface Applied Technology components with customer networks and hardware.
  • Complete needed service/ticket tracking for each job/issue encountered.
  • Develop a relationship with customers to provide the highest level of support.
  • Maintains open communications with all team members and management.
